Travelers in Mississippi and nearby will have another option for casino action soon.

While there is no online Mississippi sports betting, the Gulf Coast has its share of gambling halls. But now Las Vegas will be a bit more accessible with new air service on Breeze Airways, starting in January.

Breeze Airways is starting twice-a-week, non-stop service between Biloxi and Las Vegas Jan. 12.  The low-cost carrier is expected to offer flights on Mondays and Fridays.

Also, on Jan. 12, Breeze is beginning service between Biloxi and Tampa, Florida.

“As Breeze Airways continues to expand, we are thrilled they have chosen to begin service from Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport to the exciting cities of Las Vegas and Tampa,” said Clay Williams, executive director at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, in a news release. “Having additional affordable non-stop options will also provide convenient access for visitors from Nevada and Florida to enjoy the many amenities of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”

Offering a la carte pricing, Breeze Airways has service options described as Nice, Nicer and, on some flights, Nicest. Breeze Airways, which began service in May 2021, has year-round and seasonal routes between 37 cities in 22 states.
